Dag Goering’s passion for travel has led to a lifetime of exploring and working in many far-flung corners of the world. After acquiring his first camera at the age of 16, Dag began shooting and developing black and white images under the guidance of his father, a professional photographer. Since then, the camera has been his constant companion on many adventures. More than 500 of Dag’s images have been published in books, calendars and prominent newspapers and magazines including National Geographic Adventure , Action Asia , New York Times , Manchester Guardian and Outdoors Illustrated, BC Magazine. His work has been featured in a solo exhibitions various venues including the Banff Centre, Banff and Dales Gallery, Victoria.

“Photography allows me to become more intimate with the world around me. It helps me to see things more clearly: to really take things in. I strive to make honest images, images that aren’t staged. Ultimately, when I connect with my subject, I hope to reveal the magic of that moment to the viewer.”
